Child Protection Training
Supporting core and non core workers to gain knowledge and understanding of their role and obligations (under the Children’s Act 2014), including strengthening their knowledge to respond and report suspected child abuse or neglect.

Incredible Years ‘Autism for Teachers’ Programme
This programme is for teachers who work with children aged two to five years on the autism spectrum. It aims to help teachers to engage with children in ways that encourage their emotional self-regulation, and to support their communication skills. Teachers will learn to support children to build their social skills and empathy and to help them form positive relationships.
Supporting Social and Emotional Competence in Early Learning
The purpose of this programme is to support teachers to deepen their understanding of social and emotional competence. This will draw on effective practices that enhance children’s social and emotional competence. It includes resource development and provides a range of practical strategies to form a good foundation of support and guidance for all children.

This programme will enable teachers to gain deeper knowledge and understanding of emotional resilience and the intentional teaching strategies that support and promote self regulation. It includes a range of strategies and tools for teachers to support children's wellbeing.

Froebel Principles and Practice
This programme considers the work of Friedrich Froebel (1782-1852), one of the most significant of the early years pioneers. It will examine the relevance of Froebelian methods in early learning centres today. Participants will learn about the Froebelian kindergarten where children can grow and develop at their own pace, nurtured by knowledgeable and supportive adults. Participants will be encouraged and challenged to consider how this knowledge can enhance their professional practice.

Philosophy Review and Development
A Philosophy Statement expresses the fundamental beliefs, vision, values and intentions of a centre. It is a core document that provides the basis for all decisions. This programme will support centres to weave their own distinctive, culturally responsive, and contextually relevant curriculum, based on what they believe is important for tamariki, whanua and kaiako.
